Rings: one of my favorite jewelry staples. I almost never go out without some on, unless I forget. But if I do, hopefully this lovely vendor will be around! Obviously I bought a independent of that...

Cheerio lovelies! It's been a long and busy week and now it's time for some well-deserved rest (in style of course :) and relaxation for all of us! These pictures were taken yesterday at the vendor near the Student Union at my school. A couple of wonderful ladies were selling jewelry, dresses, rocks (well, pretty ones...), bags, tapestries, hemp bracelets, incense, jewelry boxes, scarves, and more, for a band called Dopapod that is going on tour this fall. I had a great conversation with them, but then I was like: excuse me while I take pictures for my blog, you know just in the middle of campus :] I haven't heard of any bloggers around here except my T.A., but he blogs about political science... But yeah, so I finally got the shoes! I am in love with them and have worn them about four times already. (I have a blog post about that coming up soon and maybe a how I style them as well.) So once again I am in a dress, and no shocker it's an A line! When I first got this dress like 2-3 years ago, I wasn't crazy about it. You know that feeling you have when you get home after a shopping trip and you're excited to try everything on again, because for some reason it looks different at home than in the dressing room? Yeah well I tried it on again and I was like: why the hell did I get this? What am I going to do with it? And I brought to campus last year and I still had no clue why I still had it and I nearly got rid of it. But I was just messing around and putting together outfits and I tried it on again and it looked better. I knotted it and added the necklace and it was like a whole new dress! I especially love to wear it with my hat. And I added the denim shirt for a much needed pop of color and as a sort of light jacket. What items in your closet have you revamped or DIY'd?
